Buenos Aires, November 16, 2025 (NA) -- the Oral Federal Court No. 7 (TOF 7), in charge of the 'Notebooks of Bribes' trial, responded this Thursday to strong criticism over the slowness of the process and announced that it will add a second weekly hearing starting from next November 25.
According to Noticias Argentinas learned from the report by journalist Hernán Cappiello in La Nación, judges Enrique Méndez Signori, Fernando Canero, and Germán Castilli reacted to the complaints of 'lack of celerity' coming from their superiors at the Casación Penal Chamber.
One by one, who are the people investigated in the ANDISE case
In a 14-page resolution read at the beginning of the Thursday 9 hearing, the magistrates counterattacked and launched harsh criticisms at the Supreme Court, the Council of the Magistrature, and the Casación Chamber itself.
'They have been asking for help (...) since 2019, 6 years ago, and they have not been heard,' the report noted.
The judges detailed an 'extensive list of shortcomings and unsatisfied demands,' such as the lack of staff and physical space.
Although Casación offered them the AMIA trial room in Comodoro Py, the TOF 7 judges rejected it due to 'two insoluble problems': the renovations are not finished and they do not have offices in that building.
They request the Juntas trial room
To comply with the greater physical presence required, the court requested authorization from the Supreme Court to use the historic 'Human Rights Room,' located in the Palace of Courts on Talcahuano street.
It is the imposing room paneled in h7VCCwboiserie where 'the trial of the Military Juntas' was held, as well as the debate over the Cromañón tragedy.
The TOF 7, which had planned to add a second hearing not until March, decided to advance it to November 25. It also ruled that although the start was via Zoom, the questioning statements of the 87 accused will be held in a 'hybrid' (semi-face-to-face) manner in this special room.
